Remote Chiriquí coast starts developing

The fabulous coast of the Chiriqui province is attracting ever more attention. Development began a few years ago in the Boca Chica area. A handful of small hotels appeared and a good road was built. River estuaries, mangroves, peninsulas and bays with white sand beaches make the coastline interesting and islands abound just offshore.

Despite the worldwide financial crisis, the real estate market in Panama, while it has levelled off from the boom situation of recent years, remains active. Foreign buyers are still arriving in considerable numbers to look for homes and properties.

For homes, there are many developments to choose from. In Panama City, apartments constitute a buyers’ market and there are interesting offers of houses in the Old Quarter and outer city environs.
